Every email Instora sends

Each email that goes to you or your buyers, what triggers it, how often at most, and how to turn it off.

On this page

Instora sends some emails to you and some to your buyers on your behalf. This page lists every one, so nothing goes out that you don't know about.

How buyers stop them

  • Stop updates (on follower emails) stops updates about that one home.
  • Stop emails from you (on just-listed emails and follow-ups) stops everything from you through Instora.
  • Their email app's Unsubscribe button works too.

Once a buyer has stopped your emails, Instora won't send them follow-ups, just-listed emails or updates from you again, even if you tick them, unless they choose to follow one of your homes again later. Their lead stays on your Leads page.

A buyer's week, as an example

Sam sees your listing on Instagram on Monday evening and sends a message:

  1. Monday, instantly: you get a New lead email and a browser alert. Sam gets Message received.
  2. Tuesday morning: Sam gets your day 1 follow-up: "Any questions about 12 Oak Street?", with a Book a showing button.
  3. Tuesday afternoon: you click Reply on Sam's lead and write back. The lead becomes Contacted, so no more follow-ups go out.

If you'd been too busy to reply, Sam would have heard from you on Thursday (your other homes) and the following Monday (still looking?), and nothing after that.

Sender address and spam

Emails come from Instora's address (shown as "Your Name via Instora" for follow-ups) with replies set to your email, so you never have to share a separate inbox. Instora's mail is authenticated (SPF, DKIM and DMARC), which keeps it out of spam folders. If a buyer can't find an email, ask them to check spam and mark it "not spam".
